But what is the progress of this evening organized by the Haute-Yamaska ​​/ Brome-Missisquoi Red Cross? Well, it is very simple and very festive since the public will be able to access and have fun at one or other of the 15 gaming stations fitted out in a setting worthy of the biggest casinos in the world for the modest sum of $ 40. . For this 5th edition, the organizers have planned to offer a novelty, a prison managed by a sheriff who will offer the prisoners for auction.

An evening full of ambitions for the Red Cross

The local Red Cross hopes to welcome 200 guests during this new Casino night and therefore intends to add approximately $ 12,000 to its coffers. Lucille Whissell, spokesperson for the Croix-Rouge Haute-Yamaska ​​/ Brome-Missisquoi, remains confident and positive: “We have already had an evening at $ 11,700 in the past, so we are able to reach this objective of 12,000. $ ”.

Ms. Whissell also recalled at a press briefing that the sums raised by the Red Cross, especially during fundraising and through private and corporate donations, remain only in the region.

And it is the pharmacist Isabelle Dupont, from the Uniprix pharmacies on Saint-Jacques and Court streets, who will swap the white coat to chair the fifth edition of this benefit casino for an evening. She will insist, recalling the importance of the mission of the Red Cross: “It is important to support the people who live with us during a disaster. A fire can happen to anyone ”.

The organization of the Casino de la Croix-Rouge evening

You can buy your tickets in the two Uniprix Isabelle Dupont pharmacies. But they are also already on sale at Estrie Toyota and to Red Cross volunteers.

On Saturday March 17, 2018, the Granby Toyota dealership room will therefore take on the appearance of a casino. The organizers will offer guests the opportunity to play on poker, blackjack and French roulette tables. All these games will take place in this huge room to welcome the participants who will play for the benefit of the Haute-Yamaska ​​/ Brome-Missisquoi Red Cross.

This new edition of the fundraising casino will therefore begin at 7:00 p.m. this Saturday at Toyota Granby, located at 6, rue Irwin. This is a fundraising event sponsored by André Boissonneault, owner of the company Remorquage Boissonneault. Participants are invited to exchange the sum of $ 25 for $ 20,000 in chips, in addition to the entry fee of $ 40 and will then be able to go have fun freely at the tables of poker, blackjack, French roulettes and d ‘other games.
